The wrestling team's season wraps up with a mix of wins and losses, track members prepare eagerly for their upcoming meet, and girls soccer faces a suspenseful playoff journey. Additionally, students enjoyed a field trip to McDermont House with various activities. Followed by St. Patrick's Day celebrations, March birthdays, upcoming school events, and a heartwarming Kid's Day fundraising initiative at CJSF. Wrestling The wrestling team has had a great season so far but it is coming to an end. Everyone has tried their hardest and the best they could do. They have won 3 games and lost 3 games. We asked Nick Imirian of how well he thought he did individually and he replies, “I think I did pretty good for my first year and I have learned a lot but I feel like I could of done better.” By: Harjot Kaur & Oscar Briceno

Track 8th grade We asked one of the track members, Sydney sisil, what she liked about track and she said, “It helps me build connections with people and meet new people. I like the running part of it, it's super fun. The field trips are always fun, especially getting mcdonalds when you are done!” Created by: Taylor Toschi and Elijah Holland
McDermont Field House Field Trip The McDermont House Field trip happens every year. The people that get to go are the ones who get honor roll (3.0 GPA) or higher. There they have an indoor soccer field, bounce houses, rock wall, indoor surfing, basketball, laser tag, and arcade games. Everyone who went had a lot of fun and those who did not make the requirements had to stay at school and got extra time to finish what they needed to get done. Girls Soccer This season for girls soccer has been very suspenseful but successful. They have won a total of 9 games and lost one. Earlier this week (March 4-8) they played their first playoff game and won 2-2 and breaking the tie with a shoot-out. After going to the championship game, they unfortunately lost against Chowchilla. 8th grader Ashley Torres had something to say about how they did this season, “We had an amazing season, we stayed strong, and I hope the best for next years team.” By: Sayler Steiner and Erika Madrigal
St. Patrick's Day St. Patrick’s Day is a religious event that is held on March 17th. This event is mostly shown is Ireland. On St. Patrick’s Day people around the world wear green. If you are not wearing green you get pinched because you can be compared to the leprechauns. The symbol for St. Patrick’s Day is a shamrock. By: Kayla Marin and Abby Enos

CJSF celebrated international children’s day this week on Tuesday, March 5. Kid’s day is a fundraising day specifically for the children at Valley Children’s Hospital. On Tuesday morning, we had some our of CJSF members volunteer to sell Kid’s Day newspapers. We raised over $100.
