(1 Peter 4:12-13) • Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
Everything Good Comes From God • (James 1:17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. (NKJV) • (John 3:27) John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. (NKJV)
(Gen. 26:14) • “…The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous… so the Philistines envied him.”
1 Peter 1:7 • that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
1 Peter 4:19 • Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of Godcommit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.
James 1:2-4 • My brethren, count it all joywhen you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Romans 5:3-5 • And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
1. Face your trial positively. • (James 1:2) • My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, (NKJV)
2. Accept your trial patiently. • (James 1:3) • knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. (NKJV)
3. Ask God for the wisdom to deal with your trial. • (James 1:5) • If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (NKJV)
4. Trust God to help you through your trial. • (James 1:6) • But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
5. Harvest the blessing from your trial. • (James 1:12) • Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (NKJV)
