Immigration & Naturalization Legal Services • Family-Based Visa Petition: US Citizens and Green Card Holders may petition their close relatives to immigrate to the U.S. • Naturalization:Immigrants who have had their green card for 5 years may be eligible to apply for US Citizenship. • Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA): Newest immigration policy benefiting youth who were brought to the U.S. as children. • Political Asylum:Applicant must have suffered persecution in home country based on race, religion, politics or certain other grounds.

Ways to Immigrate (cont.) • VAWA (Violence Against Women Act):Domestic violence survivors can self-petition for residency if spouse or parent is LPR or Citizen. • U-Visa:Victims of domestic violence and other serious crimes may be eligible for work authorization and path to residency. If willing to assist in investigation or prosecution plus other criteria. • Other: Additional types of immigration relief may be available, depending on specific circumstances.
