  3. Rounding to the nearest 10 I need to first look to see if the digit in the ones column is above or below 5. 34Is the ones digit above or below 5. Will I round up to 40 or down to 30? Try again: 26 Is the digit in the ones column above or below 5? Will I round up to 30 or down to 20?

So now I look at the tens column to see whether I round up to 70 or down to 60. I know I need to round down so I know my answer will be 360.
