  3. Adding A Title Slide 1 3 Start Software Open Project or Import Media Select the edit tab

  4. Adding A Title Slide 2 Select a design for the title slide using the dropdown menus under Filter by or Theme to limit selection choices or simply scroll through the template choices until you find the one that works best for your design.

  5. Adding A Title Slide 3 Select the Arrow selection tool Click on Text Template Enter your Title

  6. Adding Text Overlays 1 At the spot in the video in which you want to apply text Pause the film Click on text box and enter desired text

  7. Adding Text Overlays 2 To Manage the timing of each overlay: Adjust the size of the Titles in the timeline ensuring they don’t overlap or your text will too!

  8. Adding a Credits Slide 1 1 2 To add a credits slide at the end of your project: While Still in the Edit Tab Select the credits slide and drag it into your timeline

  11. ARCHIVING… The Project Archiver copies your project and its media to a folder for further editing or storage. You can use it to: Prepare an incomplete project for editing on another computer Collect into one folder copies of media that may be located in several folders or drives Trim the media in a completed project down to only the parts you used before saving the project to an archive

The Project Archiver 2 Options • Archive Project • Copy Project Since Copy Project does not trim the project, it often results in a folder containing more, and larger, files than does Archive Project. Once Archived some of the options for editing are lost but the archive saves some of the surrounding clip as we will see

Archiver… • Creates a folder containing a new project file, and a new clip for each clip used in the original Timeline or Scènelineat its edited length • Includes up to 30 frames of extra footage, (handles), before the In point and after the Out point of each trimmed clip for minor adjustments • Clips are renamed to match project • Archiving Limits - so make sure you are ready!

  15. Uploading Your Video To Upload your Video to Social Media sites: • Select the share tab and choose online

Select Presets Presets chosen will differ depending on Social Media Site Chosen Also check share work area bar only so that only video is shared Following steps will differ depending on which cite you chose but require logon and naming your upload as well as adding tags for searching enhancement

  19. Web DVD Format for the Internet Note: Before following these steps your project will need to have scene markers. To Create web DVD files for desktop Select the Share tab in the Tasks panel. Click web DVD. Select Save To Folder On Computer. Select a preset from the Presets menu. In Project Name, enter a name for your project. In Save In, click Browse to select a location for the DVD output files. The Build Completed panel appears after the build is complete. Click the link to preview the generated web DVD file in your browser.
