Objectives • Today, we are going to practice our corsage assembly. • You will be given 5 roses with filler, greenery, wire, floral tape, and ribbon to complete this task. • We will demo each step for you and then you will have a chance to complete the step. • By the end of class you will have completed one corsage!

  3. Purpose • (1) To practice for you final! • (2) You can sell them to your friends for prom/homecoming next year! • (3) If you get really good at this you can even do wedding parties! $$$$$$ -Your Costs: Roses: $15 for a bunch Greenery & Filler: $10 for a bunch Tape & Wire: $3 Wristlet: $1 each -Total of: $33 -Remember if you buy a bunch of roses you will be able to make multiple corsages. (approx. 3 for a five rose corsage) - Charge $20 each…you just made about $30!!!!

  4. Purpose Continued… • Pricing for a corsage can be anywhere from $10 to 50$, sometimes more! • It depends on what types of flowers you are using, how many flowers, extra decorations, etc. $70.00 $50.00

  6. Step 2: Wire and Tape Roses, Tufts, and Bows

  7. Step 3: Attach Greenery and Filler

  8. Step 4: Attach Your Tufts and Bows

  9. Step 5: Assemble Your Corsage!

  10. Independent Practice! • Use the PowerPoint print out to study for your final. • Make your own notes that apply for your specific corsage that you will be making. • Read over the article on the floral industry and answer the 10 questions that are attached to the back. • Have fun and good luck!

  11. Take Away Message… • Even though this is a different corsage that you learned previously the key is that you have practiced your skills. • Remember there are all types of corsage arrangements possible…flowers, accessories, ribbons, etc. • Potential SAE project!!!!! • Make some $$$$$$$$$
