Support for Local Community • ADAB workcentre is based in the heart of East Bury & provides valuable advice & guidance for the community • Our Employment officer will assist in supporting clients who have difficulty in accessing mainstream labour market • Help overcome barriers such as language and cultural • Support provided for both the employer and client to build a strong working relationship

Screening Candidates • The screener provides the applicant with an opportunity to tell us about themselves and their background and experiences through a set of specified questions • Ensures the applicants meet your minimum requirements • Enable applicants to identify if the role is at the right level from them

Workcentre Talent Pool • If a candidate is in the work centre talent pool they will be held on internal database and contacted by our officers with details of possible opportunities • Candidates will receive consistent and professional service • The work centre team will generate candidates for each role according to the information held on the people plan • All candidates are registered and will be held on access to employment, on our management database • If there are any insufficient number of candidates available on the database for a specific vacancy ADAB will pass the vacancy information to other agencies

Reference Checking why do we do it • To reduce risk to the businesses • To ensure corporate security • To protect your people in the business against the potential crimes of others • To recruit the right people into businesses from the beginning by identifying potentially unsuitable people, this will ultimately reduce recruitment /grievance costs and improve retention rates • To provide proof of honesty and integrity of applicants

  12. Reference Checking what is checked • References • Verification of identity (including National Insurance details) • Confirmation of residency • Right to work • Employment history including dates, job titles, reason for leaving
