Common reasons for refusing to do work • Student is overwhelmed so they don’t even attempt it • Student believes they cannot complete the assignment so they might as well not do it if they are going to fail it anyways • Student has too many expectations or demands and cannot prioritize which task he should begin with Describe a time that you refused to do work and explain why you didn’t attempt the work.

  7. Situation • Bob is in Miss Nasty’s class. He is getting an F in the class. He has only finished 2 out of 13 assignments. He didn’t even attempt to take the last test they had in class. His assignments have been the same as everyone else’s in the class. No one read the test out loud to him. The teacher says that Bob won’t even try to do any work in class and is disruptive. She says that all he does is flirt with the girls and make rude comments.
