Background • Districts are required to submit a yearly online final report of expenditures and activities. • The Final Report provides an overview of how the district utilized its Perkins IV allocation. • Were the program improvement issues addressed and/or planned objectives met? • Describe any problems or barriers encountered and/or notable achievements, including effective practices
Background Components of the online Final Report: • Contact Information • Section I Part C – Expenditures • Section I Part G – Amendment Form (if applicable) • Section II Part A – Program Information by TOP Code • Section III Part A- Across CTE Programs • Section IV Part A – Final Expenditure Report by District
Background Multiple Passwords: • User • Project Director • CEO Only the district CEO can: • Certify Form CTE -1 Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins Title I-C) - Final Report - Claim for Funds • Locks and submits the completed online Final Report.
Difference in totals within rounding error. NOTE: There is a discrepancy between the expenditures reported in the final report system and the Year-to-Date system. Your district will be paid based on the Year-to-Date system. By completing this form, you are certifying the discrepancy is due to rounding error. • Acknowledgement that: • There is a discrepancy, • the discrepancy is due to rounding error, and • the district is paid based on the YTD report.
Rounding Error Maximum Exceeded Message Message says: • You will not be able to complete this form, • the discrepancy between totals exceeds the system rounding error formula maximum. • You must review and revise the Section I Part C form(s) to adjust the Total Expenditures reported.
Final Instructions • Due August 31 • Please be aware that the due date for the CEO to certify and submit the district Final Report online is August 31. Failure to meet this deadline may result in the forfeiture of up to 10% of the district Perkins Title I-C allocation. • Certification Locks the Submission • The final report cannot be edited once it is certified and submitted electronically. If changes or updates are required after certification or further assistance is needed, contact your CTE Unit Program Monitor.
The New Opening Screen After Certification Certified by CEO on: 08/31/2009 Program Monitor Approved on: 10/04/2009 With this notice, we acknowledge receipt of your district’s Final Report to be reviewed by your CTE Regional Program Monitor. The Program Monitor may request clarification or additional information. Once the Program Monitor has concluded his/her review and approves the Final Report, the date approved will appear in the Program Monitor Approved field. This indicates your Final Report has been approved and you may make a hard copy of this document to include in your district audit files by clicking the button below. After the posting of Monitor Approval, all remaining unreimbursed final expenditures due to the district will be entered in the “Recalculation Payment” process. Download Final Report
