Your Mission, If you choose to accept… • Reach your hand into the Mystery Box and touch whatever is inside! • This is how the activity works: • Ms. Wherry will call you up row by row to bravely reach your hand into the Mystery Box. • While you are waiting for your row to be called, please remain quiet and in your seats! • Once you reach your hand into the box, return quietly to your desk and write down as many words you can think of that describes what the object in the box feels like. • Example: furry, squishy, prickly, gooey
Your mission if you choose to accept… • Try not to describe the word using a simile • Example: “It feels like a furry animal.” • Use the most descriptive, vivid, original words that you can think of! • Keep it school appropriate! • DO NOT share your answers with others, and do not tell students patiently waiting at their seats for their turn what you believe the object is to be! • After everyone has had a turn and has jotted down as many describing words as possible, we will share our words! • The student with the most original, creative word in the class will be awarded a ticket!
