FORT NECESSITY NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD Admission to Fort Necessity: FREE for children under the age of 15 5$ for adults Park is open from sunrise to sunset Visitor center is open from 9am-5pm
FORT NECESSITY NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD INCLUDES: • Tour (possible demonstration) of battlefield where French & Indian War began • Monument to major General Edward Braddock • Mount Washington Tavern and Jumonville Glen • First found highway in America (US ROUTE 40) • Displays and timelines of actual artifacts and events • Educational film which explains the story of Fort Necessity (20 minute movie)
