  4. By clicking on options, you can filter what you want to see in your search with Google.

  5. Hakia is a beta search engine for Semantic searching. If you look at the search and then see the search results, you will notice that the search is intuitive.

  6. Link to intro video WolframAlpha is a computational Search engine. It will do math and statistical information

  7. SenseBot is another version of a semantic design for search engines.

  21. Voice Thread can be used to create a picture book, to upload and narrate PowerPoint's, to learn how to do math, to use an interactive board and the possibilities are limitless.

  22. Wiggio is used to share group information. There is a group calendar, folder for uploading files, polling, messages, links and subgroups can be created with Wiggio. We use it for our regional groups to communicate, along with Ning.

  27. The Mind Tools of an Administrator • Semantic Organization Tools Semantic organization tools help learners to analyze and organize what they know or what they are learning. Two of the best known semantic organization tools are databases and semantic networking (concept mapping) tools. • Databases Database management systems are computerized record keeping systems that were developed originally to replace paper-based filing systems. These electronic filing cabinets allow users to store information in organized databases that facilitates retrieval. Content is broken down into records that are divided into fields which describe the kind of information in different parts of each record

  32. Conclusion Computer tools, unlike most tools, can function as intellectual partners which share the cognitive burden of carrying out tasks (Salomon, 1993). When learners use computers as partners, they off-load some of the unproductive memorizing tasks to the computer, allowing the learner to think more productively. Our goal as technology-using educators, should be to allocate to the learners the cognitive responsibility for the processing they do best while requiring the technology to do the processing that it does best.
