  2. Muscles of the Head/Face • Frontalis – Elevates eyebrow • Orbicularisoculi – Flexes eye • Zygomaticus – Elevates lips • Orbicularisoris – Flexes lips • Masseter – Elevates mandible

  3. Muscles of the Neck/ Shoulder/Back • Sternocleidomastoid – Rotates and flexes neck • Trapezius – Elevatesand depresses scapula • Deltoid – Abducts arm • Latissimusdorsi – Adducts arm • Rotator cuff (composed of 4 muscles) – Rotates, elevates, depresses scapula • Prime Mover - Subscapularis

  4. Muscles of the Chest/Abdomen • Pectoralis major – Flexes and adducts arm • Pectoralis minor – Protracts scapula • Rectus abdominis – Flexes vertebral column • Obliques – Rotates vertebral column • Serratus anterior – Protracts and depresses scapula

  5. Muscles of the Arm • Biceps brachii – Flexes elbow • Triceps brachii – Extends elbow • Brachialis – Flexes elbow, supinates hand • Brachioradialis – Flexes elbow, pronates hand • Flexor/Extensor digitorum – Flexes and extends digits

  6. Muscles of the Leg • Gluteus maximus – Extends hip • Quadriceps (composed of 4 muscles) – Extends knee • Prime Mover – Rectus femoris • Hamstrings (composed of 3 muscles) – Flexes knee • Prime Mover – Rectus femoris • Gastrocnemius – Flexes knee, plantar flexion • Tibialis Anterior – Dorsiflexion, inverts foot
