The library was established in April 2002 and currently located at level 1 & 2 KWSP Building. The branch library at Ulu Pauh Campus was officiated on 28th December 2009.

Internet offers huge information resources for researchers and students • Online contents are accessible via web based platform • Open access contents are accessible freely via the Internet Google Books, Google Scholar, Blogs, etc. Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Springer, etc. Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), repositories (ROAR), digital archives, etc.
Google Scholar uses the Google search engine to search for scholarly materials, such as research papers, preprints, theses, books, and reports, coming from a variety of academic publishers, professional societies, repositories and universities sites.
Users can have complete access to full text content of scholarly materials displayed on Google Scholar as long as UniMAP Library subscribed to the resources
The library is offering access to more than 85,000 e-books and 9,000 e-journals via the Internet • These contents are published by prominent academic publishers, commercial aggregators and professional institutions • Subscription cost for e-journals is almost RM 2 million per year
Access to web resources is available through our information gateway @ http://mylib.unimap.edu.my
Remote access facility via EZProxy server at UniMAP Library allow users to access to digital library resources anytime, anywhere as long as you are connected to the Internet
Registered users are required to enter their username and password for authentication purpose • Login to UniMAP Library website at http://mylib.unimap.edu.my • Click on e-Resources button • Enter username and password • Click on login button

All full text databases offered two types of searching mode; • Basic Seach • Advanced seach
UniMAP Library subscribes to many full text databases • Subscriptions are based on selected segments (e-journals / e-books / reviews and many others) • Users are not able to acquire complete full text contents of the whole databases
Present subcription includes content coverage from year 1996 to current year • Content coverage from 1996 and backward is sold separately
Request full text content from Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service • Free-based service • Request are forwarded to local universities • E-mail item details to rujukan@unimap.edu.my
E-books at UniMAP Library is exceeding 90,000 titles • Books especially handbooks provide background and theoretical information • The library also provide access to 36,000 printed books in addition to e-books
Access to 5,000 engineering books Is limited for January – December 2010 only Access to full text contents from Year 2000 (publication year) up to 2009.
Research findings indicate that in all fields, cited proceedings are younger than cited literature in general, suggesting that proceedings are a medium of more recent knowledge than are all types of literature in general.
Conference papers are also available on open access platforms via institutional repositories • It is much easier and faster for researchers to share their scholarly work with others through Institutional Repositories (IR)
The library subscribed to ProQuest Digital Theses Full Text (PQDT) • Only includes theses produced by students at American Universities • Full text theses are also available from ETHOS offered by various educational institutions
PQDT Open is a new service provided by ProQuest, which also has the fee-based ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Database. The PQDT Open can be used to find full text of over 3,000 open access dissertations and theses free of charge. The authors of these dissertations and theses have chosen to publish as open access
