School Improvement Plan We want to be REGULAR!!! However, we need the proper tools.
BCMS PLAN • 1. EXPLORE DATA: • READING - 10-11 – 32%, 11-12 – 30% • MATH – 10-11 – 19%, 11-12 – 17% • SCIENCE – 10-11 – 8%, 11-12 – 12% 2. Triumph Data showed inferencing skills are major concern. 3. Inferencing hits higher order thinking of Bloom’s taxonomy.
BCMS GOAL We will increase inferencing skills across all content areas for all students in grades 6-8 so that at least 50% of 8th grade students will meet benchmark or higher in reading as compared to 31% in 2011 as measured by Explore reading scores by September 2013.
