SVUK/ LEP GOVERNANCE ARRANGEMENTS Performance management • SVUK Chairman, in his role as LEP Board Member, provides the link between the Enterprise Zone, wider SVUK programmes and the LEP. • LEP sets overall direction for Enterprise Zone • Enterprises Zone Delivery Group (EZDG) reports quarterly to LEP and SVUK board on delivery against implementation plan via an outcome based scorecard. (EZDG comprises MEPC, Harwell Oxford, Oxon County Council, South and Vale councils) • SVUK board provides challenge, guidance and assistance to EZDG and refers matters beyond its remit or requiring LEP direction upwards to LEP via its Chairman

SVUK/ LEP ENTERPRISE ZONE DELIVERY • Sets direction, reviews performance • Delivers support programmes within LEP remit • Addresses obstacles to delivery within LEP remit • Captures Oxon-wide EZ financial and other benefits • Allocates resources, promotes EZ LEP Board • Challenges and drives delivery • Reviews performance against plan targets, revises forecasts • Assesses risks and opportunities • Addresses obstacles to delivery within SVUK control • Identifies resources that deliver rich information to support SVUK/ EZ delivery and growth SVUK Board • Delivers against implementation plan • Reports progress on scorecard against task deadlines and targets • Develops initiatives to accelerate delivery • Works with government departments to optimise support EZ delivery group
