The gross increase of adolescent obesity is caused by the following factors:
Lack Of Parental Education • Things parents can do to get informed is to follow Michelle Obama's “Let’s Get fit” movement on their iPhone or computer. • Parent’s can also go to their local YMCA and hospital to get information and learn about a few programs to help their child’s needs.
Continued… • A few of the things that parents can do to help their child overcome Obesity is to get children actively moving, limit television time, and instead of focusing on weight focus on health. • More programs for parents to use: -“We Can” -Team Nutrition Program
Education Curriculum • Schools focus more on drug & alcohol use in our health classes today instead of health and fitness which is why our children have a partial lack of knowledge on what to put in their body and how much to exercise a day.
Socioeconomic factors • Obesity affects individuals of all different kinds of ethnic, racial backgrounds, and income factors. • A few programs that help these parents include -Food Nutrition Service (FNS) -Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
The sad Truth • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qKric3SJRk • What people buy because it is CHEAP Freezer food & fast food > Produce, meats cheeses • Parents with low income can’t always afford to buy a healthy meal so they instead turn to CHEAP freezer meals or a dollar hamburger.
If these things were to happen then these children wouldn’t be afflicting our society at present.
