  1. Uses for Kava Essential Oil Kava kava is a herbal medicine that hay been used since times immemorial. It is also quite famous for being a ceremonial substance for a couple of hundred years. Kava is distilled from the plants that grow in Polynesia, Micronesia and. the adjoining islands along the South Pacific. Kava root extract used by the natives of the South Pacific islands.
