17. Public Contracts Debarment List WCL §141-b, suspension and debarment, provides that any employer subject to a final assessment of civil fines or penalties or stop work order (for not having WC/DB insurance), shall be ineligible to submit a bid on or be awarded any public work contract or subcontract with the state, any municipal corporation or public body for a period of one to five years from the final determination.
18. List of employers is created on Monday and sent to the Dept of Labor for posting on Tuesday.
Should any action be taken to adjust their record, i.e. coverage is posted; evidence submitted and accepted that resolves a penalty, their name will not be removed until the following Tuesday.
