8. Preparatory offices for foreign citizens • Preparatory course is intended for: • Language acquisition (Russian like foreign language) • Science training • Social-psychological adaptation of foreigners who come to study in MIPT • Training takes place in small groups with experienced and qualified teachers. They will help you learn Russian perfectly. • Duration – 10 month. • Finally , students pass examsand get certificate of finishing preparatory course. • LANGUAGE OF INSTRACTION: Russian only • START: Fall semester (20th August) • COST: 150 000 Rub/ per year • APPLICATION DEADLINES: • Early admissions deadline: May 15 • Regular admissions deadline: August 1

Where will I live? • Campus located in Dologoprudny, a suburb of Moscow 20 minutes away from the city centre by train. • Guaranteed campus accommodation across the road from lecture halls and labs. • Residence halls equipped with cafes, reading rooms, common areas, kitchens, laundry rooms, gyms, and more. • Each room has a wired and wireless broadband connection, wi-fi available on campus. • Campus guarded by university security. • Dedicated student polyclinic. • University sanatorium on the shores of the nearby Pestovo Reservoir. Just 20 minutes away by train lies the largest city in Eastern Europe and all that it has to offer: world-class theatres, museums, historical sights, shopping centres, and more.

10. What about the student life? Given the rigours of academic training, extracurricular activities are an excellent way to unwind and branch out. • A large number of student societies and activities: chess clubs, debating societies, student theatre and comedy • Festivals of fine arts and music held throughout the year. • The university stadium and gyms provide facilities for football, volleyball, table tennis, athletics, and more; a swimming pool and tennis courts also available. • A highlight of the year is the traditional 24-hour football ‘Match of the Century’ between departments.

13. Phystech.International Phystech.International Olympiads are aimed at identification and development of talented young people. Participation in the Olympiads gives them a chance to prove themselves in the field of mathematics and physics. Olympiad consists of two rounds. First round is a qualifying round and will be conducted online. The second round is final and will be held in person, in the cities of the participating countries, separately for mathematics and physics in two different days. Participation in the competition is free and equal for all contestants.
