The Center For International Human Rights and NAMI On Campus at John Jay Jointly Present Human Rights Seminar: Viewing Mental Health Through a Human Rights Perspective In Our Own Voice: College Students and Mental Health About The Speakers Ms. Mary Beth Anderson is the director of the Urban Justice Center and project director of the Urban Justice Center Mental Health Project. She will speak on stigmatization of mental health. Ms. Kaitlin Bell Barnett is the author of Dosed: The Medication Generation Grows Up and a journalist. She will discuss issues such as access to medication and treatment among college students as well as provide insight from her most recent book, in which she came face to face with youth experiences and struggles with mental health. Dr. Katherine Stavrianopoulos is a licensed psychologist and professor at John Jay. She will moderate the panel and discuss the various services the college provides in assisting students struggling with mental health concerns. Mr. Paul Reed is the youth and programs coordinator at the National Alliance for Mental Health (NAMI)-NYC Metro. He will introduce In Our Own Voice (IOOV) student speakers as well as discuss the development of various youth programs NAMI provides. Mr. Joseph Deluca is the president of NAMI on Campus at John Jay, a student club as well as a senior at the college. As a IOOV speaker, he will share his personal story with mental health. Ms. Amalia Rudnik is the vice president of NAMI on Campus at John Jay and a senior at the college. She is a IOOV speaker and will present her experiences with mental health.
