What is a volunteer? • A volunteer is a parent, an adult, or older student who helps out in a school. • Volunteer times can vary (some come only once a month, a few times a year, or for one or more hours a day.) • Volunteers can help in the classroom, in the volunteer room, in the library, in the art room, in clubs before and after school, or at special events (Field Day, Jump Rope for Heart, Authors’ Night, class field trips, etc.)

  9. “Meet your Staff” Activity • Matching game • Match the job description with title and the staff picture to help identify and recognize school staff

  10. Computer Lab • Look at an example of a résumé. • Learn how to write a résumé. • Open the computer program Word to begin making a résumé for yourself or for your high school student.
