Why is the initiative important? • Aids in presenting data in layouts and aggregations not currently available. • Provides real-time tracking of progress in a self-service capacity. • Provides uniform and standardized reporting of commonly used data and metrics. • Assists with providing a rational basis for data enabled decision making.
Why is the initiative important? • Provides a mechanism for reporting to the appropriate sub-unit level (i.e., university, college, and department). • Helps save time by allowing easy access to complex data structures. • Connects disparate operational data together in a standardized format.
Where is the initiative going in the future? Two enhancements to be released at the start of Fall 2011: • Futrix • A third party add-in for SAS for analytical data. • Google OneBox with SAS Add-in • Enables dynamic searching for reports and analysis.
Where is the initiative going in the future? • EIM is working toward strengthening KSU’s Data Governance efforts using SAS. • The SAS DataFlux software will be implemented to monitor data quality and data integrity. • Build partnerships with the emerging ISAS (Institute for Statistical Analytical Studies). • EIM’s mission will focus on automated analytics and information reporting. • Implement the SAS Strategy Management Solution to support strategic planning.
