Briefly: Plastic processing has some characteristics of pouring technology but also of metal forming. There are these methods of plastic forming: • Extrusion + blowing • Jetting (into the forms) • Presswork • Foaming.
1.) Extrusion /blowing: Take out Pipe extrusion Blowing and setting Compressed air Product Plastic pipe Profile nozzle Blowing hose Split mould (cooled) Extrusion and blowing of hollow products
Plasticizing cylinder Granulate Jetting cylinder 2.) Jetting (into moulds): During the jetting we use the knowledge from forming as well as from pouring. Opening and closing device of mold Gear Measurement unit hydraulics Divided mold Operator and steering gear Cut through injection molding machine (plastic is injected into the closed mold) Cylinder of injection Steering worm drive Plastic granulate Divided mold Plasticizing and injecting unit Opening and closing unit Densifying steering worm injector Closing cylinder heating plasticizing cylinder opening cylinder Backflowvalve product Injection molding machine
3.) Presswork: Upper part of the mold Thermoset powder slide Lower part of the mold Filler heating Upper ejector extrudate Lower ejector Filler Procedure of press forming
4.) Foaming: Bearingseparatingfoil PUR folders Foaming PUR Guide track Mixingheadwith slot jet PUR beltcrosssection Productionofpolyurethanefoambelt

ACTIVITY I.: Decide and choose the best solution of the problem: 1.) Product will have very thin and almost evenly strong wall of rounded shape with 2 liter capacity. Will you use foaming? Yes / No / It isn´t easy to determine 2.) Product will have opposite (negative) full shape of counterpart with dimension about 0,2x0,5x0,9 meter and should absorb possible shocks. Will you useblowing? Yes / No / It isn´t easy to determine
ACTIVITY II.: Decide and choose the best solution of the problem: 3.) Product will be transparent and will have shape of containment of ceiling light with fluorescent bulb. Will you use presswork? Yes / No / It isn´t easy to determine 4.) Product will have a shape of very thin and long foil (film). Will you use rolling? Yes / No / It isn´t easy to determine
