Alignment with eHealth Ontario Strategy Cornerstone Information Systems • Provincial Registries • Health Information Access Layer –HIAL (Integration Services Program is responsible for this) • Ontario Laboratory Information System • Physician eHealth • Portal The Integration Services Program (responsible for the Health Information Access Layer - HIAL) is identified as a cornerstone information systems in Ontario’s eHealth Strategy - an absolute requirement to deliver interoperability and support of eSolutions for Clinical Priorities

Procurements for CGTA RFPs will be issued by the cGTA project (a lead organization will be acting on behalf of the 5 GTA LHINs) Issue a RFP for Clinical Document Repository, ESB and Integration Services Integrated solution of capturing data from healthcare providers and providing Integration services to external data consumers Integrate the solution with identified external registries (users, clients, and consent), identified LIS and HIS, and OLIS data repository Vendor to deliver operational production state; ready for existing or new portals to be interfaced Estimated Issue Date: March 2010 Issue a RFP for Portal Framework Provides a front-end user interface Services include configuration of product to meet functional and technical requirements, and interface standards to ESB/HIAL services product Vendor to deliver operational production state but not required to integrate to other systems/services/applications Estimated Issue Date: Q2 10/11
Procurements for Other 9 LHINs RFPs will be issued by the Regional Initiatives (a lead organization will be acting on behalf of the participating LHINs) Products & services for cluster-based integration projects in the other 9 LHINs Cluster (multi-LHIN)-based projects driven by clinical benefits Estimated Issue Dates: Q4 FY 09/10 Issue an RFP for consulting services for a detailed analysis and planning project for the other 9 LHINs (informed by successfully completed cGTA planning phase) Phase 1 – Detailed Current State Assessment & Clusters Design Phase 2 - Cluster Integration Services – Gap Analysis Phase 3 – Detailed Implementation Planning based on Clinical Priorities Estimated Issue Date: Q4 FY09/10
Procurements for Provincial Integration RFP to be issued for the procurement and implementation of provincial HIAL capabilities (e.g. Enterprise Service Bus software, hardware and supporting technical services) Will provide provincial consumers and providers with a secure, standards-based, and consistent means of accessing provincial health information, domains and registries. Estimated Issue Date: Q2 10/11
Procurements for Enabling Best Practices Products and Services for a technical performance analysis capability To rigorously address performance concerns in a centralized integration layer Estimated Issue Date: Q2 FY10/11 Service-oriented governance information e.g. catalog of existing & available integration services and technical specifications, and an inventory of integration initiatives Estimated Issue Date: Q2 FY10/11
