Disability Support • What counts as a disability? Come and find out about support available and who qualifies.
Eligible conditions • Autism/Aspergers • Specific Learning Difficulties: dyslexia, dyspraxia, pragmatic semantic disorder • Unseen conditions - heart conditions, epilepsy, cancer, ME, CFS, MS etc • Sensory impairments • Mental health conditions • Mobility
Equality Act 2010 definition • A physical or mental impairment which has substantial and long-term adverse effect on ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.

Role of Study Support Adviser • screening for dyslexia and arranging for dyslexia assessments with educational psychologist • assessing, supporting and monitoring support for disabled students • mentoring • helping with funding applications • writing summary of reasonable adjustments • organising individual exam arrangements
