Lead-free (Pb-free) & RoHS Part numbers #1 Chip Capacitors GR M 188R71H102KA01D GR = Product ID for standard chip capacitor M = Series (Tin-plated) P = Series (Solder-plated) All GRM product in new Global Part Number format is Pb-free. Murata have been manufacturing using Pb-free terminations since the 1990’s. Smaller product (0402, 0201) did have solder-plated terminations. These have all now been changed to Pb-free.

Lead-free (Pb-free) & RoHS Part numbers #2 Chip Coils LQH32MN331K2 3 L LQ = Product ID for chip coil This digit denotes the finish of the electrode, and with all current product it is Pb-free (either Sn or LF solder). Sn (tin) = 0 or 2 depending on the part LF solder = 3 Older (Pb-containing product) used different digits. Example: LQH32C**23 type is standard Pb-free LQH32C**21 is old std. Pb-containing

  3. Lead-free (Pb-free) & RoHS Part numbers #3 EMIFIL ® NFM3DCC102R1H 3 L NF = Product ID for EMIFIL® This digit denotes the finish of the electrode, and with all current product it is Pb-free (either Sn or LF solder). Sn (tin) = 3 depending on the part LF solder coating = 4

Sn (tin) = S Au (gold) = A Older product with electrodes that contained Pb were Pb = P

  5. Lead-free (Pb-free) & RoHS Part numbers #5 Resonators CSTCC3M58G53-R0 CS = Product ID for Ceramic Resonator (CERALOCK®) The SMD parts are Ni +Au terminations, so are not affected. CSTLS3M58G53-R0 The leaded parts use Pb-free solder-plating on the terminals, so are not affected.

Lead-free (Pb-free) & RoHS Part numbers #6 Buzzers PKM17EPP H -4001-B0 PK = Product ID for Piezoelectric buzzer/sounder This digit has been added, and indicates that the part has been changed to comply to the RoHS legislation. Otherwise, the part number is the same as before. 7BB-20-6 L 0 7 = Product ID for Piezoelectric diaphragm This digit has been changed (from A to L), and indicates that the part has been changed to comply to RoHS. *leaded parts only

Lead-free (Pb-free) & RoHS Part numbers #7 Trimmer pots PVG3A102 C01 B00 PV = Product ID for trimmer potentiometers This digit has been changed, and indicates that the part has been changed to comply to the RoHS legislation. With some of the products, it was necessary to remove Cd (Cadmium). Example. Before: PV36W103A01B00 After: PV36W103C01B00
