Exploring Joint Global OpportunitiesSummery ofbreakout session discussionsChicago world wide BKR conference
We had approximately 30 participants fromUSA, Canada, Brazil, Europe, England, Ireland Africa, Middle East and Australia.
We have started with Rebecca, Who continued her presentation of how to explore the business opportunities with the world bank, by giving practice advice how each one of the members individually or as joint venture with other member firm, can approach and gain work out of the world bank's projects.
Each one of the participate had the opportunity to introduce himself, his firm and expressed his expectation from this breakout session and how he would like to explore joint global opportunities. During this introduction an open discussion was developed and questions, different approaches and expectation were discussed.
It was agreed that some of the action items should be address by the member level It self, such as:
Approaching International law firms. • Establish referral relationships with Chambers of commerce. • Defining statement of work and services for foreign companies acting in their own country.
Maintaining the regular marketing tools to attack international companies. • Being able to react and to cooperate immediately with another B K R member firm to accommodate a client request.
Action points and expectation that came out, requiring the support of BKR as our International organization:
Establish industries and other practice groups on an International level, with focused and defined targets to enhance and facilitated services by BKR members to multinational companies and to other members’ clients acting in another jurisdiction.
Developing joint marketing tools, communicate with clients by a new format of newsletter, exploring business opportunities and capabilities of BKR members from different countries. • Developing joint referral sources.
Coordinating joint proposals and tenders to prospects clients. • Sub Regional coordination on proposals to multinational clients . • Tracking referrals on a defined quarterly basis, using internet technology to gather the data and support enhancing referrals between members.
