  1. Satellite TV Content Issues • Held breakout session in SLC 9/30/99: Satellite TV Truths & Myths • Led by Michael Childers, Lightstream, and Linda Palmer, Disney • Was well-attended and Michael’s position paper framed the IPR issues Rich Salter, WAEA Board member

  2. WG & Workshop • Organized a Sat. Content WG = “steering committee” to write description of issues • Reps from content providers and service providers. First telecon was last week. • Bob Garner, Turner Inflight, and Michael Childers will Co-Chair WG • Future one-day workshop anticipated Rich Salter, WAEA Board member

  3. Satellite Content WG • Issues are: • Content licensing • Advertising/business models • Editing for airlines (branding, etc.) • Not to be confused with Sat-WG (hardware installation standard) Rich Salter, WAEA Board member
