Overview • Goal: technical assistance action to support the operational implementation of GNSS approach (RNP APCH) and EGNOS based approach operations • Airport: Monastir (Tunisia) • RWY 07 and RWY 25 • Aircraft: Piaggio P180 Avanti
Main activities • GNSS approach (RNP APCH) procedures design for RWY 07 (currently ILS) and RWY 25 (currently NPA) • FAS data blocks codification • Airborne data bases generation • Flights campaign for procedures validation • Business case development • Safety assessment • Exploitation towards operational use/elaboration of list of to-dos for the publication of the procedures in the National AIP, including the analysis of regulatory/service provision framework and of GNSS performance data recording/monitoring requirements
Main outcomes • Demonstration/operational validation: • Technical feasibility • Operational feasibility • EGNOS added value and benefits verification • Procedures design and validation • Inputs to the documentation needed for the procedures publication • Technical workshops • Technology, experiences and best practices transfer: • Sequence of steps (technical, institutional and regulatory)/list of “to-dos” for the operational exploitation • Assistance for the initial implementation of the steps/“to-dos” • Training and technology handover (e.g. use of GNSS/EGNOS receivers and analysis tools) • Promotional material
