Early Life • Muhammad Ali stared boxing at the age of twelve. In the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, he won a gold medal in the 175-pound division. He stared fighting in the professional league at the age of 18 and was one of the best fighter every. After he won his first professional fight he won the next eighteen, fifth teen by knockouts.
Muhammad Ali Background • Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. on January 17 , 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. Muhammad Ali was not only a fighter in the ring he also fought for civil rights. He was an icon struggling for civil rights.
