SECTION 8 WATER STORAGE TANKS 8.1 SCOPE OF SECTION. This section specifies requirements for the storage of water. 8.4 TANK DESIGN Water storage tanks shall be designed and connected in accordance with figure 8.1. Tanks with dual water supply shall maintain the air gap in accordance with clause 4.6.3.2(a). Section 4.6.3.2 (a) Registered break tanks (RBT) and Registered air gaps (RAG) Registered break tanks shall comply with section 8 of this Standard.

QDC MP 4.2 and 4.3 have addressed the issue of backflow prevention to allow a DCAP to be installed if the installer decides to use a non testable device.
Section 8 & 9 SPDR2003 allows the removal of a testable device and install a DCAP as a new installation.
