EXHIBITIONS The Global Business Opportunities Centre (GBOC) Exhibition • For WPC members • Presents a positive link between the 18th WPC and SAIOGE • Located on the 5th Level of the Sandton Convention Centre (SCC) • Over 4, 000 square meters allocated to the GBOC • A commercial venture to be held in conjunction with the 18th WPC 2005 congress • To be held from Sunday, 25 September 2005 to Thursday, 29 September 2005 • Located on Levels 0 & - 2 of the SCC occupying 14, 000 square meters of exhibition space • To represent the largest petroleum exhibition ever held on the African continent The South African International Oil & Gas Exhibition (SAIOGE) • Major component of the Africa Focus • To highlight: environmental awareness, poverty alleviation, skills development & education and HIV/AIDS • To take place on Level 5, occupying a space of 700 square meters Corporate Social Responsibility Arena

11. CONGRESS LOGISTICS Arrivals/Airport Transfer • A “meet and greet” service at Johannesburg International Airport (JIA) • Bus transport from JIA to accredited hotels. From accredited hotels to congress venue and official events Transportation Service Providers • A choice of hotels will be contracted for congress delegates • Congress functionaries, VIPs, CIPs and personnel will be accommodated in designated headquarter hotels. Accommodation Registration and Accreditation • Registration will be conducted both manually and electronically. A registration brochure will be distributed end of 2004 Medical Facilities • SCC has a fully equipped emergency and first aid room. Emergency medical rescue will be on-site at SCC and other major events Security & Protocol • The Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure of SA is responsible for all major events. 18th WPC venues will be secured in accordance with international standards Government Interface • SAOC will interface with all relevant government departments and agencies on logistical arrangements via area coordinators

SECURITY South Africa is a country of safety, security and rule of law • Special precautions have been taken to ensure no terrorism incidents take place • Delegates should in general take precautions as they would in any other city in the world • Security around the Sandton precinct (venue) will be very tight during the Congress • There are six agencies responsible for safety and security in South Africa • All security agencies have working co-operation agreements with their international counterparts (Interpol and others) • Sandton Convention Centre is one of the safest business districts in the world
