Drug Treatment Court THE PARTICIPANTS: • 90% of participants have a lengthy history of prior convictions • 47% have a high to very high risk to reoffend • 22% of participants report criminal activity as their sole source of income SOME SUCCESSES: • SFU Study showed drug-related recidivism was reduced by 56% over 2 years, and overall re-offending was lowered by 35% • A Western Canada DTC found that 1/3 of participants remained clean and sober for a year or longer in the program • 50% of DTC participants re-establish a connection with supportive family members @Granvillecpc1 Granville Community Policing Centre 2019
