Contents • Main objectives • Brief review of the system • What has been done? What is missing? • Next steps
Main objectives • Maximize time available to test structures • Eliminate uncertainty introduced by operators’ conditioning strategy • Acquire data systematically for real-time and off-line analysis and comparison

Next steps • RF calibration: • Test diodes with RF pulses and compare the results with the IQ demodulators and oscilloscope • Decide which RF channels should use diodes or IQ demodulators • Decide the calibration procedure of the different RF signals • Implement the calibration procedure in the fast analysis program • Modify the program that changes the variable attenuator settings to also publish the data • Modify the oscilloscope program to use the published data for calibration • Extension to other RF and BPM signals: • Replace the old Acqiris card by the new model and declare the other Acqiris cards in the control system • Installation of the hardware needed for the new channels (cables, waveguides, variable attenuators, downmixing electronics, IQ demodulators and/or diodes electronics…) • Upgrade the fast analysis program to include the new signals • Upgrade the conditioning user interface to include the information from the new signals • Permanent data storage: • Finish defining all the information that needs to be stored • Request to controls to define the database • Others: • Find a better trigger for the Acqiris cards • Logging of vacuum pressure signals • Second stage: • Test and include peak power meters if they are found to be useful • Include feedback loops in the fast acquisition program to maintain the pulse characteristics more stable
