TREASURER’S REPORT Financial Update 4-1-2015 thru 4-30-2015 INCOME APRIL $ 20,886.83 Carnival, school store, spirit nights, fuss free, t-shirts EXPENSES APRIL $ 10,110.71 Carnival attractions & supplies, teacher reimbursements,hospitality supplies, school store, QuickBooks renewal, ENDING BANK BALANCE 4/30/2015 CHECKING $53,863.34 LTE PTA Membership Meeting

TREASURER’S REPORT • Current board is preparing a recommended budget for the 2015-2016 school year. • New board will review, approve and present to the membership for approval at the 1st membership meeting of the new school year. Budget changes in discussion: • Continue working with BTAS, Marlene Sherwood for preparation of Taxes and streamlining Treasurer policies and procedures • Adding line item for First Aid/CPR teacher training • Redistribution of funds for grade level/sosreimbursements to accommodate better use for educational programs such as science and social studies nights • Discussions to add teacher “scholarship” line item for continuing education support LTE PTA Membership Meeting

REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD- Laura Guerrero, Vice-President • Executive Board met April 28th - quorum present • Actions not requiring further action of the general membership: • Approved Fall Fun Run Fundraiser date: October 24, 2015 • Approved Spring Carnival and Silent Auction date: April 9, 2015 • Approved Financial Reconciliation Committee Volunteers:Julie Fergerson, Dao Tran and Michelle Dent • Looking for Comm Chair, Health & Welfare, & Carnival Chairfor next year. REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD- Laura Guerrero, Vice-President • Actions Taken Requiring Further Action of Membership: • Our PTA bylaws require three check signers on our PTA bank account (President, Treasure, and one additional board member). Will replace current signers by June 30, 2015. • Motion to approve Jason Kelley, Laura Beinke, and Joanna Hess as signers on PTA bank account for 2015-2016 school year. • Second • Questions/Discussion • Vote LTE PTA Membership Meeting

REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD- Laura Guerrero, Vice-President Recommendations for next year to increase PTA participation & Income: • Look at ways to increase membership • Continue defining policies & procedures for easier year-to-year transitions • Continue defining treasurer position to transition back to 100% volunteer position (not requiring paid accounting help) • Increase board participation in Texas PTA training • Review and update bylaws • Consider fewer membership mtgs allowing board members more time to address needs • Improve 2-way communications between PTA & membership including better use of electronic media & printed materials • Increase promotion of fuss free fundraising such as Randall’s Good Neighbor Program, Box Tops, Target, etc.’s • Consider applying for grants to increase budget funds • Solicit sponsorships & participation for Fun Run & Carnival at same time in fall for better community participation/support LTE PTA Membership Meeting

  11. REPORT OF VICE PRESIDENT, FUNDRAISING- Linda Briscoe • SPIRIT NIGHT – May 20th All Star Burger • Spirit Night Chair, Amy Offield ⃰ Remember to put your receipt in the collections box. We receive 10% of all collected receipt sales. • BOX TOPS – • Mayra Agis, Chair – Thank you for your service this year! • Collected $1130 this school year! • Keep collecting for next year! REPORT OF STANDING COMMITTEES CARNIVAL Chair, Brittan Chepak Silent Auction Chair, Alysia Transou Thanks to all our generous sponsors, LTE families, and volunteers we raised approximately $30,000 and after expenses expect to return approximately $19,000 to Lake Travis Elementary School!
