Reg. 2.1: employment agreements must be in compliance with Convention requirements under that Regulation) • Employment terms must be set out in clear written legally-enforceable agreement, consistent with the MLC Code • Agreements must be agreed to by the seafarer ensuring that he/she has the opportunity to review, seek advice and freely accept the terms before signing

  3. Agreements shall be understood to incorporate collective bargaining provisions to the extent compatible with national law and practice
