Science - Mrs. Stager Completed Unit 4- MELTS- Forms of Energy • Mechanical, Electrical, Light, Thermal, and Sound Energy Completed Unit 5- Force and Motion Began Unit 6- Earth and Space • Weathering Erosion, Deposition • Sedimentary Rocks and Fossils • Landforms- stop motion video project coming up
Science - Mrs. Stager Plastic Awareness Expo • Biggest accomplishment • Attending EarthX2019 showcasing our work here at MIS • Raised $1200for Clear Blue Sea
EarthX Field Trip • Friday, April 26th from 10AM - 2PM • Depart MIS - 9:15AM • Arrive back at MIS - 2:45PM • Students should bring: lunch, water bottle, spending money (optional) • We need volunteers to monitor the House of Agnew booth. • Friday, April 26th 10AM - 6PM* • Saturday, April 27th 10AM - 6PM • Sunday, April 28th 10AM - 5PM
Canstruction Project • Collecting money to be used for the purchase of food cans to build structure. • Cans of food donated to local food banks at conclusion of project • Reward for winning advisory. Goal for each advisory is $75.00

ELA - Ms. Durgin & Dr. Blackwell ELA - Dr. Blackwell & Ms. Durgin Argument and Advocacy Unit- This unit will take us from April 16-May 20 Students will be researching assigned topics, such as, “Should we have zoos?” In the course of the unit, students will research two different topics. Reading Nonfiction articles Collaborating with reading partners and groups Flash debates Unit will culminate with a piece of writing, probably a letter..

Students need to bring: • #2 pencils - no mechanical pencils • Snack - • Healthy brain food: pretzels, goldfish, etc. • No peanut butter, Nutella, nuts • Lunch - 12:30 • Eat in testing room after everyone is finished • Water bottle - no metal bottles • Book to read after the test • Cannot draw • Leave devices (phones, iPads, smart watches) at home!!!
