  3. AIMS • forming world outlook and aesthetic culture; • developing critical thinking and creative activity; • development of inner world, emotions and communicative skills; • information security protection.

  4. TRANSCURRICULAR APPROACH Media education • transcends and challenges the traditional borders between the disciplines in school; • is a link between school and life worlds of children and young people outside school; • should train competences/abilities, which prove useful and productive for lifelong learning

  5. URGENT TASKS • opening of the regional media center; • training teachers; • working out training courses, tutorials and teaching aids; • integration of media education into the school subjects

What is done • seminar-workshop for teachers since 2011; • Summer media schools for teachers: «Practical media education», Sebastopol, 4 - 6.10.2012 ; «Media education at the lessons and in out-of-school activity», Yalta, 23-25.09.2013; «Critical thinking development with the means of Documentary films», Simferopol, 10 – 11.10.2015; • media education laboratory in Small Academy of Sciences for schoolchildren; • open group in Facebook “media pedagogic and we” –https://www.facebook.com/groups/250007338386580/; • teachers work out learning courses, programs; • school television, video and animation studios, school newspapers; • film clubs for students and their parents; • Crimean contests and film festivals: “Magic screen – 21 century”, “Memory storage”, “Behind the screen”, Media festival, etc.
