AIMS • forming world outlook and aesthetic culture; • developing critical thinking and creative activity; • development of inner world, emotions and communicative skills; • information security protection.
TRANSCURRICULAR APPROACH Media education • transcends and challenges the traditional borders between the disciplines in school; • is a link between school and life worlds of children and young people outside school; • should train competences/abilities, which prove useful and productive for lifelong learning
URGENT TASKS • opening of the regional media center; • training teachers; • working out training courses, tutorials and teaching aids; • integration of media education into the school subjects
MEDIA SKILLS AND COMPETENCE FORMING STAGES • study of history, structure, language and theories of media; • teaching to “read” and understand the different media texts; • developing imagination and visual memory; • creating the different kinds of thinking; • training the skills to work with media gadgets
MEDIA EDUCATION FORMS • preschool; • schooling; • out-of-school; • for parents • high school education; • adults education; • education via media gadgets
