1) God Chooses to Demonstrate Grace through Jesus- John 1:14-18 16 And of His fullness we have all received, & grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace & truth came through Jesus Christ.
1) God Chooses to Demonstrate Grace through Jesus- John 1:14-18 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
God shows us what grace is through the life of Jesus. He is full of grace (lit. grace upon grace upon grace) & has given to us the fullness of His grace.
Rom 5 20 The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, NIV
Rom 5 21 so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. NIV
II Thess 2 16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself & God our Father, who loved us & by his grace gave us eternal encouragement & good hope, 17 encourage your hearts & strengthen you in every good deed & word. NIV
Do I believe in a God that is full of grace or do I believe that “God helps those who help themselves”? Am I trying to live by making my own “luck” & fortune or do I first trust God’s grace?
2) We Now Live in the Grace of God- Eph 1:5-8 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

By God’s grace we are accepted, adopted, redeemed & forgiven. We receive these blessings not on our merit, but because God is rich in grace & considers it a good use of His power & resources (being prudent) to give us these things. That is why His grace is Amazing!

His grace gives us freedom- Rom 6 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts…
His grace gives us freedom- Rom 6 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
His grace draws us in to pray- Heb4 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
His grace draws us in to pray- Heb4 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
His grace powers us to serve – II Cor 9 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. NIV
Am I living (and enjoying!) God’s grace? Do I love God because He is full of grace?
