Driver / Car Registration 7:30 -8:30 Car Testing 7:15 - 8:30 Timers will not be enablesdfor car testing. Management cannot assume responsibility for any damage to any car due to track conditions Saturday 1/29 Track / Gym Set-up 8:00- 9:00 Driver / Car Registration 8:30 – 10:30 NOTE: No Car Testing Saturday Race Start Time 11AM Sharp (NEW TIME) Please see slide #2 for den specific times Den Awards distributed 1:30 – 1:45 Pack Award Ceremony 1:45 – 2:15 Restrooms – Locations will be specified on Race day Lunch – Served in RaceCar Café. (Cafeteria). Bring the dough! No food in GyM. Drivers caught snacking will be disqualified. Photography and Results will be posted on the Web Site after the event

3. 2011 Pack 301 Speed Competition Track 1 Dens 1,6,10,2,11,12 The 3 lowest times over 4 heats from each den move to the semi-finals. 18 cars move to semi finals. Medals to 1st,2nd,3rd place in each den Track 1 18 cars compete over 4 heats, 2 cars move ahead to finals, 16 are eliminated 18 2 Track 1 4 cars compete over 4 heats for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. Trophies awarded to 1st,2nd,3rd place Track 2 Den 4,7,9,5,3,8 The 3 lowest times over 4 heats from each den move to the semi-finals. 18 cars move semi finals. Medals to 1st,2nd,3rdplace in each den Track 2 18 cars compete over 4 heats, 2 cars move ahead to finals, 16 are eliminated 2 18 DEN Time Trials Track Semi Finals Pack Finals

4. St Mary's’ Cub Scout Pack 301 Pine Wood DerbyJan 29, 2011Judging Judging – PACK AWARD CEREMONY 1:45 Any scout / driver not having fun will be disqualified. No crying is allowed. If crying is detected, the entire pack will be notified. Judges will be judging cars for non-speed criteria after registration and before the races starts - . Thus if the car crashes and burn-outs during the race will not impact judging. All Pack 301 judges have been certified in good judgment All Judges are neutral and unbiased No driver should Judge the Judge Judges should not be bribed with anything except coffee and $dough$ nuts The Judging committee will be composed of both male and female members of the NPC (National Parents Council) of the PWD In the event of ties, the PWD race organizer will have final say$. Bad sportsmanship and inappropriate language will not be tolerated and will lead to driver disqualification No preference will be given to any drivers that volunteer to help set up the track, although all help is appreciated Winning cars may appear in the St Mary's’ trophy case, Alexandria Newspapers, and other highly recognized periodicals. Drivers may also be recognized at the Blue and Gold banquet. Formal betting is not allowed in the cafeteria. OTB (outside track betting) is also discouraged. What happens during the Pack 301 Pine Wood Derby can be discussed openly anywhere.

No sporting balls (i.e. basketballs, footballs, etc) are allowed in the GYM. Balls will be confiscated, and drivers will be disqualified. Drivers must follow den-leader orders for race time There is no running – leave the speed to the cars, not to driver No drinking and driving allowed Bad Language will not be tolerated Cars will be distributed before the awards ceremony Excessive speed outside of this facility is not acceptable Bad Attitudes will not be tolerated and drivers will face serious consequences Winning drivers own bragging rights until the next Pinewood derby Drivers are encouraged to participate in the Nationals Pack Winners are expected to make a short speech to the pack. (Thanking their dad for fabrication help) All Drivers must be in official uniform
