  1. Retail Management:Reverse discrimination and forced equal opportunity employment statistics. Anton Kusal

  2. Gender Equalization • Supervisors and managers in retail chains • Men and women have near ‘perfect’ distributions of managerial positions. • Managers in non-retail environments • Men tend to have a larger portion of promotions to supervisor positions. • Qualification vs. Reputation

  3. Retail Sales Managers • In the state of Oregon, 51.5% of retail supervisors are male and 48.5% are female. (http://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/broker)

  4. Non-Retail Sales Managers • 69.2% of supervisors not associated with retail sales are male. • Females only comprise of 30.8% of these positions. (http://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/broker)

  5. Questions • At what point is qualification overlooked in favor of maintaining gender ratios? • Does the even distribution of standard retail sales associates show further evidence of bias employment? • 47.7% male, 52.3% female • Does intentional gender balancing undermine the entire purpose of equal opportunity employment?
