  4. OUR PROJECTS

  5. EU StartupAcceleratoristhefirstacceleratorforSpanishStartupsbasedin theEuropeanUnion and located in Brussels. • The aim of the projects is to support Spanish youth to obtain financing for their projects, to open the European market and to learn the particularities of the EU. The project is financed by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security within the Youth project of the DG of Migrations.

  6. Three mainaxes: EU funding • Guidance to convert the startup in a pilot program susceptible to being funded within the Horizon 2020 financial framework, endowed with up to onemillion euros. • Contactwithreimbursablefinancingand private investors, such as the EuropeanBusiness AngelsNetwork (EBAN). Networking/ Mentoring / Lobbying Promoteprofessionalimprovementthrough: networkcreation, lobby groups, commercialization and promotion, and entrepreneurshipeducation. B2B The EU StartUp Accelerator offers a connectionwithEuropeanassociationsbased in Brussels: more than 35.000 member enterprises of BECI, more than 400 regional and local EU offices for the representation of regions, and more than 4.700 partners of EU projects from around the world.

OUR ENTREPRENEURS Cramway Cramway is a collaborative platform which aims to improve the experience of e-learning focusing in one of the most important aspects of the learning process: social interaction. Cramway Technologies Inc. develops  collaborative e-learning platforms for human resources departments, education institutions like schools, universities or academies using “Software as Service” distribution model. SaaS (Software as a Service) is a new model that is currently positioned as the best option to acquire software, as it allows companies to disregard costs relating to maintenance, updates, installation, security and support. Using this model companies can devote time and resources to their core business, whilst the application provider takes care of all the technical procedures.

  9. OUR ENTREPRENEURS • Moveker • The inventors and entrepreneurs Antonio and Susana have develop during the last three years two types of vehicles which could be used by disable and no disable people equally. The results of the research has been a patent conceded (P201100935) and two prototypes manufactured (Moveker T1 and Moveker C1), which we have tested and modify by the results /feedback obtained from three types of tests: • use test (disability and healthy users feedback), • mechanic tests (fatigue and durability), and • biomechanical tests (machine and human interaction studies) • The invention is a mechanism which allows to the user to minimize the effort of a traditional cycling move.

  10. OUR ENTREPRENEURS European Help pack Online platform which offers services of accommodation, administration and advice to students or interns coming to Brussels for short or long periods (Erasmus, Argo, Global Training, Eurodisea, Erasmus Mundus, Leonardo Da Vinci, etc). HIGH TECHNOLOGY WASTE TREATMENT http://www.htwt.eu Aiming to develop integral waste management of LCD and plasma screens and photovoltaic panels Beneficiary Coordinator CONSELLERIA D’INFRASTRUCTURES, TERRITORI Y MEDI AMBIENT, the Regional Valencian Ministry of Environment, Infrastructures and Territory

  12. HIGH TECHNOLOGY WASTE TREATMENT THE PROJECT OBJECTIVES: 1 Design and construction of an industrial prototype using induction technology and test how to improve waste treatment by means of the first machine using induction energy Adaption of a treatment plant to a industrial machine using induction energy Validation of the prototipe. The machine will be tested at industrial level to asses its performance is an optimal as expected in both senses: environmental and economic Evaluation of results and follow up on the performance of the new materials generated: study of the practical application in the market Implementation of a media campaign to raise awareness among the citizenship about the right WEEE management 2 3 4 5

  13. HIGH TECHNOLOGY WASTE TREATMENT THE PROJECT PHASES: 1 Report on induction technology: assesing the benefits of induction technology applied to waste treatement Reporting on WEEE management at European level: analysis on common needs in order to find common solution Reporting on easte treatment plants: analysis of the technical characteristics of waste plants to assess how prepared they are to face new challenges Report on photovoltaic panels waste management: Analysis of the challenges of management of FP: Collection, transport, storage and treatemnt. Report on treatment techniques applied to flat and LCD screens and Photovoltaic pannels: Description and analysis of the present waste treatments pointing out the advanteges and disadvantages. 2 3 4 5

  14. HIGH TECHNOLOGY WASTE TREATMENT Means involved Recovery of the waste generated by plasma displays out of use for the obtaining of raw materials for the elaboration of new products. Coverage of the demand of LCD and plasma displays treatment, due to the increase of this kind of devices in the end-of-life. Improvement of the actual equipment dismantling processes… Correct treatment of the hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipments. Increase of the activity of carriers, managers and authorized treatment plants. New job opportunities Social awareness concerning LCD, LED, plasma displays and photovoltaic panels deposit in the municipality collection points and retailers centers. Creation of a project Website which will be used to keep informed the citizens about the pollutant effects of LCD and plasma displays, as well as the waste reception and collection points.

  18. MINITURB Scale hydro power mini-turbines for clean energy supply in agricultural production The MINITURB project has introduced an innovative Mini-Hydro Turbine, that inserted in a pipe or any other channeling system with a circulating fluid (air, gas, water, petrol, oil, ...) is able to produce electricity, to meet energetic supply needs in several production areas, in particular farmer and irrigators cooperatives, in order to produce and optimize energy consumption, reducing waste and CO2 generation compared to other energetic sources.

  19. MINITURB OBJECTIVE: To optimize the use of natural resources from the perspective of maximum respect for the environment through the design, development, production and installation of mini-turbines to produce energy and optimize, reducing the generation waste for energy production. PARTNERS: 1Agua, Biología y Turbinas, S.L. (ABITUR), SPAIN 2FundaciónBanco de Tierras de la ComunitatValenciana (BANTERRA), SPAIN 3Miranda Environmental and Water Treatment Technologies Incorporated (MIRANDA), TURKEY Total budget: 808.633 € EU contribution: 404.316 € (50%) Duration: 30 months (May 2012- January 2015)

  20. MINITURB The main objective of the project is to optimize, develop and consolidate the production and marketing at European level of scale hydro power turbines or mini-hydraulic turbines, increasing the market share compared to other non-renewable energy sources. Among its environmental advantages, this product reduces the consumption of external energy employed in irrigation processes, by using water and gaseous fluids required in agribusiness for clean energy production.
