  2. SLLC:Up Skill South London • Who are SLLC and what do we offer? • SLLC are a Community Interest Company (CIC) • We are a trading arm of the South London CVS Partnership. This partnership is a registered Charity constituted from six South London CVS (Sutton, Croydon, Merton, Richmond, Kingston, Bromley) • Our Consortium is made up of over 100 training providers and third sector organisations. • We deliver bespoke training programmes for employees and those looking to get back into work. • SLLC contract work to our members using business to business arrangements.

Review 2007/08 • LSC informed SLLC that we are one of London’s best performing providers. • In 2007/8 SLLC delivered the following programme types; • Train to Gain • ESF • Skills for Jobs • Information Advice and Guidance • 2 x Consortia development projects in Greater London • Our membership base grew from 65 to 109 member organisations

Overview 2008/09 • We have secured substantial contracts from London LSC and other funding agencies to deliver a range of programmes in 2008/9. • Train to Gain • ESF: Up Skill South London • Skills for Jobs 1 & 2 • Information Advice and Guidance • We are also going to launch a modern apprenticeship programme in 2009 and take part in the Foundation Learning Tier pilot programme.

  5. Why SLLC? • SME focussed • Flexibility • Adaptability • Effective contracting and quality control of public funds across VCS, Private and FE training providers.

  6. Up Skill South London: What is it? • The project targets SME employers who fall within two main categories: 1) Health and social care and childcare professionals and their administration and support staff . 2) SME businesses whose staff are seeking a recognised Level 2 ICT qualification in any sector. • The project funds 450 level 2 places and 50 embedded SFL programme as part of the project. • Engagement with 210 employers to offer work force development planning for SME businesses. • 12 employer seminars across south London. • Ongoing free information, advice and guidance or employee career progression throughout the projects duration.

  7. Up Skill South London: Who is it for? Eligibility • Age 19+ • Employed • UK/EU citizen or other Residency status (see LSC guide) • With prior qualifications at level 2 but not eligible for free (fully-funded) Train to Gain training

  8. Up Skill South London: Who is it for? Priority Groups • People with disabilities/health conditions • People aged 50+ • People from ethnic minorities • Females Programme Offer • Level 2 • Skills for Life including Literacy / Numeracy / ESOL
