  3. Signs & Symptoms Diplopia (Double vision) Proptosis (Bulging eyes) Upper eyelid retraction Swelling Conjunctivitis Redness Limited eye movement

  5. Case Study • 45 year old female • BilatProptosis, watery eye, diplopia • Thyroidectomy 8yrs previous, on Thyroxine daily • Ex-smoker • Prednisone

  6. Radiation Therapy Recommended

  7. Parallel Opposed Pair20Gy/10#

  8. 5 Months later • Control of Proptosis • Slightly less tearing • Both eyes moving well • Mild diplopia has persisted

  9. Summary Beneficial or not?????
