  2. • Computer शब्दलैटिन भाषा क े compute शब्द से बना है जिसका मतलबहोता है "गढना करना" यानन टहसाबकरना। COMPUTER EXPLAINED IN HINDI • क ं प्यूिरमें बोहोत सारे काम कर सकतेहै िैसे E-mail, listening audio and viewing video, play games, database preparation etc. हम क ं प्यूिरसे पूरी तरह से ही निरे हुए है िैसे हमनेATM machine से पैसे ननकले तो वो भीक ं प्यूिर कीमदद से ही होता है । •

  3. COMPUTER क्या होता है ? इसक े मुख्य रूप से तीन काम होते है : 1. input, 2. process, 3. Output. • Input कामतलबहोता है आप ने िो काम टदयाहै उसको स्वीकार करना। • Processका मतलबहोता है उस काम को करना। • Output कामतलबहोता है आपक े द्वारा टदएगएकाम कोपूरा करक े टदखााना।

  4. क ं प्यूिर का इनतहास। जिस क ं प्यूिर को हम आि िानते है इसकी शुरूआत 19th century से ही हो गयी थी और इसे एक English mathematics professor Charles Babbage ने बनाया था। उन्होंने एक Analytical Engine design ककया था िो एक basic framework था जिस पर आि कल क े ज़्यादातर क ं प्यूिर based है।

  5. GENERATION OF COMPUTERS आमतौर पर क ं प्यूिरकी3 generations रहचुकी है। First generation 1937 – 1946: 1937 ेेें पहला electronic digital कंप्यूिर बना था जिसे Dr. John V. Atanasoff को Atanasoff Atanasoff- -Berry (ABC) Dr. John V. Atanasoff औरClifford Berry Clifford Berry ने बनाया था। इस कंप्यूिर • Berry (ABC)क े नाम से िाना िाता था। Second generation 1947 - 1962: इस generation क े कंप्यूिर में vaccum tubes की िगह transistors इस्तेमाल ककये िाते थे िो की ज़्यादा भरोसेमंद थे। 1951 में पहला commercial use क े ललए कंप्यूिर आम िनता क े ललए launch ककया गया जिसका नाम था Universal Automatic Computer (UNIVAC 1). • Third generation 1963 - वततमान: Integrated circuit क े आववष्कार से हम third generation क े कंप्यूिर तक पहुंचे। इस आववष्कार से कंप्यूिर बहुत छोिे , powerful और , और भी ज़्यादा भरोसेमंद हो गए थे। अब ये एक ही समय में अलग-अलग programs भी चला पाते थे। •

  6. भारत का पहला क ं प्यूिर। इंडियाने अपनापहलाक ं प्यूिर10 लाखा रृपएमें 1956 में ख़रीदा था।इसक ं प्यूिरका नामHEC-2M था और ये कलकत्ताक े Indian StaticalInstitute में लगायागयाथा। इसक ं प्यूिरमें ज़्यादाकुछ नहींहो पाताथा बस कुछnumbers हीcalculate होपाते थे। ये size में बहुतबड़ाथा ये 10 ft. लम्बा, 7 ft. चौड़ाऔर 6 ft. ऊ ं चाथा। इसक ं प्यूिरने वावषतक औरपंच वषीययोिनाएबनानेऔ इंडियाक े top secret project nuclear program में महत्वपूर्तभूलमकाननभाईहै। इसक े अलावाइसीक ं प्यूिरसे ही इंडियाकी पहलीक ं प्यूिरprofessionalgeneration बनी।HEC-2M आिक े क ं प्यूिरसे करीब-करीब10,000 गुंिाslow होगालेककनकिर भीइसीने हीइंडियामें development की शुरूआतकी थी।
