The phrase has the following meanings & uses: Literal • Justin Timberlake uses this expression in his song towards Britney Spears who cheated on him but still wants him back despite. He knew about it & refuses to take her back. She is now upset & could “cry a river” for him, but Justin doesn’t want to hear about it as he believes he’s been through worse & perhaps he has already cried enough to fill a river when he found out about her cheating on him.
