  4. Millat Tractors Limited • Company overview: • Tractor Assembling concern • Market leader in Pakistan. • More than 5 tractor models ( MF-240, MF-260, MF-375, MF 385) • Manufacturer of Prime movers, Gensets and fork lifter as well.

  5. Job Description • Worked as Assistant Manager in Technical Development department. Key responsibilities were: • Development of parts. • Development of tractor parts through FPA (First Piece Approval) which includes: • Metrology • Chemical tests • Fitness test

  6. I have been able to do 17 record FPA’s in 6 months of training. A short list of the parts are: • Connecting Rods • Axle MF-240 front • Links • Valves • Disc Brakes

  7. Costing of parts: Costing of tractor parts involve • Material costs • Labor Cost • Tool Cost • Electricity cost • Overheads • Scrap recovery

  8. Vendor Evaluation: • Regular visits of vendor facilities to ensure the quality of work man ship. • Calculation of production capacity. • Inspection of the condition of machines • Raw material inspection

Niagara Mills (Pvt) LTDIntroduction • Niagara mills is one of the leading textile industries in Pakistan mainly dealing in Weaving, Processing (Printing and Dyeing) and stitching. • Niagara produces complete variety of textiles ranging from grey fabric to highly profiled made ups. Its export vicinity has vast borders from Europe, USA, North & South America, Russia & CIS States to Scandinavian countries. Niagara has achieved the turn over of UA$ 60 Million per annum since years.

  10. Niagara is now on the verge of Expansion and has set up one of the largest processing sheds with 3 bleaching range, 4 rotaries and 9 stenters. • A general layout of the processing plant is attached herewith.

  11. Job Description • I have been appointed at Niagara mills LTD as a Development Engineer. Key responsibilities include: EPC ( Engineering Procurement Construction) of the complete project especially: • Machinery: • Bleaching plant: Brugman Bleaching plant Red Flag Bleaching plant

  12. Stenter machines Bruckner Monforts Shaoyang • Rotary machines: Reggiani Rotaries • Singeing machines: Osthoff Singeing machines • Boilers: • Coal Fired boiler: • 15TPH Chain grate type, pressure 1.25MPA for process steam

  13. 4TPH chain grate type, pressure 1.25MPA. For process steam • Thermal oil heaters: • 4 x 5 MKcal thermal oil heaters on coal for heating purpose in stenters, rotaries, calenders, curing machines • Utilities: • Rotary Air screw compressors 22KW & 37KW. • Deep Well Turbines 1.5 Cusec & 0.5 Cusec.

Centrifugal Pumps. • Pipe line GI, MS and SS( 1” to 8”). • Valves (Globe, check, diaphragm, needle, butterfly, below sealed) • Other Projects: • Pipe lying from canal to processing mill (5KM in length) • LT/HT substation extension project for weaving (Transformers, HT panel, LT panels) • Conversion of Old Model Sizing machine to new PLC system.

Achievements: • China: • My biggest achievement other than my technical career is Planning & Managing a 7 days business tour of CEO to China. • The purpose of visit is to inspect boilers, heaters, radiators, pipe lines, turbines etc for the new project. • More than 14 factories visited. • Traveling was planned in almost 4 provinces. • More than 3500Km of traveling inside China in 7 days. • A route map is attached to show you the overview. • And Most important of all is that the visit was arranged and executed within three days

  16. PLC installation on Weaving boiler: Successful installation and running of PLC operated control panel of weaving boiler. For this step I alone stood in favor that a PLC operated control panel should be installed for this boiler in place of conventional control panel. Now it is successfully saving millions a year in terms of fuel consumption.

  17. Fuel Cost Comparisons in terms of BTU’s: • Considering the shifting of the industry from Gas to other solid fuels. I have made a comparison of Different fuels BTU and steam cost and is attached herewith:
