Four Fundamental in Arithmetic Addition –Subtraction- Multiplication -Division
UNIT SUMMARY • Based on my topic the students will be able to identify the four fundamental operations in mathematics and importance. The students will go through hands on activities, think activities and evaluate wherein they were going to make word problem and tutorials with the help of the teacher but teacher will not spoon feed. Students learning will develop. Their cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills.
UNIT FOUNDATION • Learning areas and learning methods: • Personal-social development • Affective development • Cognitive development • Creative-aesthetic development • Physical development
Student Objectives/Learning Outcomes • Students will be able to identify the four fundamental operation • Students will appreciate the importance of numbers • The students will be able to recognize the common functions of each operations • Students will create a new strategies on how to teach easily the four fundamental operation in mathematics. • Students will develop thinking skills in making their own word problem. • Students will be able to apply the four fundamental operation into real situation in life.
Curriculum-Framing Questions • Essential Question • What is the most worthiest thing in this world that can changed life?
Unit Question • How are we going to identify which operation we used?
Content Question • What are the different fundamental operations? • How do we use the four fundamental operation • Can you list different examples of mathematical operations?
Assessment Summary • Introduce the Topic anddiscussto the classand Brainstormingthroughout the unit to asses and guide the students understanding of the Curriculum-Framing Questions as well as other important questions about the experiment then think-pair-share style to have a summary of the learning output . Show the Project Plan before the beginning of the unit to find out the prior knowledge of the children and to help them to think about what they want to know about the project and what they wonder about the experiment in the project given and also what they want to learn throughout the subject or course. Using Graphic Organizer could be used to organize their work and plan. • Rubrics it serves as a guide to the student to meet the requirements of the project. Teachers conference or checklistit serves as a form to determine the students background before, during and after of the activity. Self-Assessmentcould be tools for final assessment of student’s performance.Documentationcould be use after the presentation of the students.
