You will participate mainly in the microbiological testing of Alba Bioscience products and environmental samples as part of the Quality Control team. You will participate in the identification of microbial isolates and microbiological investigations. You will also perform some routine serological and biochemical testing of materials manufactured by Alba Bioscience in compliance with cGMP and FDA standards. You should have an appropriate qualification to degree level in Microbiology or other scientific discipline and have appropriate experience in a similar role. You must have good communication skills and knowledge of basic IT packages (Microsoft Office). Experience in the biotechnology industry is desirable but not essential however enthusiasm and a passion for your field are a must for this role. Initially the role will be employed on a flexitime basis. Applicants will be contracted to work 5 days out of 7 and participate in a shift system as the business expands.
